Assembler
Assemblers report to: Production Manager
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare work to be completed by reviewing assembly instructions, including blueprints and bill of material.
Execute manual and machine assembly tasks with accuracy and efficiency
Monitor own work for adherence to standards
Contribute to the performance, welfare and growth of the team; achieve production and quality targets
Use proper tooling and/or equipment for each task.
Document actions by completing necessary production paperwork
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Communicate job issues with Production Manager in a timely manner
Report discrepancies on travelers, prints, wire cards to the Production Manager or record on the Audit Sheet.
Maintain a positive attitude, good working relationships and team orientated
Physical Demands: Employees are required to use fingers and hands to grasp, handle, push, reach, feel; exercise close vision and ability to adjust focus, exercise color vision and depth perception; Employees are required to stand, sit, and walk; talk and hear; use foot controls; lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure they provide high-quality products at competitive prices.
Determine the best sources of materials, based on price, quality, delivery time, and other criteria
Negotiate terms in the best interest of our customers and Affiliated Products Inc.
Manage optimal inventory levels by working with production and customer service team members
Review purchase orders to ensure that they are accurate and complete
Ability to work across teams and lead without authority
Coordinate the flow of materials and products through the supply chain
Anticipate and resolve potential material shortages depending on unpredictable variables and devise strategies to solve any problems with inventory supply.
Communicate inventory and ordering status so team members, including production, can meet and/or exceed customer expectations.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
3-5 or more years of relevant buying experience preferred but not required
Preferred Skills
Excellent communication and negotiation Skills
Adequate Product and industry Knowledge
Math skills to make sure all calculations are correct and avoid any unforeseen losses for the company
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Job Shop management Software
